Suffering from a condition called phocomelia, she was born with stunted arms and legs. The Penguin Lady exhibited her birdlike physique and played at the 1933 Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago, At the 1939-1940 World's Fair in New York, and many sideshows, before retiring in the 1960s. She married Earl Davis in the 1950s. He was billed as Hoppy The Frog Boy.
