Mabel Frances Sanders passed away on July 10, 2009 in Garland, TX. The third child of William and Florence Schwemm Pahlke, Mabel was born at the family home in Barrington on October 11, 1925. She married Oscar (Sandy) Sanders on September 14, 1946 and settled in Palatine where they raised their two sons; Perry Wayne and Edward Earl Sanders. Mabel was active in the Boy Scouts, boating, enjoyed cooking for her family and in her later years took loving care of her dogs. Mabel and Sandy moved to Gainesville, MO where they enjoyed their retirement but always looked forward to visits from their family. After Sandy's death in 2003 Mabel moved to Texas where she was cared for by Perry's widow Denise and her grandchildren. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; brother, Earl; and son, Perry. Mabel is survived by her brother, Newton Pahlke; sister-in-law, Faye Pahlke; her son, Edward; daughter-in-law, Denise Sanders; nephew, Kent Pahlke; and nieces, Cathy Pahlke, Mary Pahlke and Pattie Schultz. She is also survived by Edward's children Sere, Lars, Tyler, Chad and Kyle and Perry's children Cherie, Perry, Kristofer, Elizabeth and Karina; and 10 great-grandchildren. Arrangements were handled by the Twin Oaks Crematory, Ennis TX. Internment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington, IL.
