Edmond's grave has not been located. Many of his family members are buried in Springhill Cemetery, Rocky Mount Cemetery (located about 5 miles away) and Providence Cemetery, also in Bienville Parish. Another cemetery I refer to as the "old Rocky Mount Cemetery" was destroyed by loggers in the early 1980's. Of over 50 graves, only 4 headstones remain. The cemetery was also called "VICKERS CEMETERY". There were BURKETTS, FRANKLINS, PHENNELS, VICKERS among others from the Ringgold community. The cemetery was being used in the early 1900's. It is very possible Edmond and Ellen were buried here.

However, His mother is buried in this cemetery, Nancy Stapleton Franklin # 11298446

Edmond Mark Franklin was my 3rd great grandfather. This has been a long journey for me. Although Edmond's grave has not been found (by me at the time of this memorial), thanks to genealogists Lisa Franklin, Virginia Wilson Bailey, Billie Gene Polland and others who have worked tirelessly to compile all this wonderful history, I feel comfortable adding this memorial for him.
