WACHTEL, MARGARET "PAT," 86, born on April 8, 1927, in West Point, KY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Park Terrace in Louisville, KY.
Pat dedicated her life to her family and her church. She was a founding member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and was an active member of the Seniors Club.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Rich, her grandchildren Andrew, Blake and Cody Hall, and her brother, Bill Leatherwood.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children Bonnie Higdon (Kenney), Richard Jr., (Tina), Dan (JoAnne), David (Judy), Thomas (Renee), Annette Wachtel, and Marcia Hall (Phillip); 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Sue Stamps of Dallas GA.
The celebration of her life memorial visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Keenan's Funeral Home, 4724 Dixie Hwy., at Rockford Lane. Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Drive, on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 with burial at St. Andrew Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Susan G. Komen for the Cure , St. Lawrence Catholic Church Seniors Club, or Hosparus of Louisville.
