Mary Sue Leatherwood Stamps, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Mrs. Stamps was born on September 1, 1931 to her late parents, William E. Leatherwood Sr. and Nona Saffer Berry. Mary was a loving mother of 3 who also enjoyed reading, being involved in her church library at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, and loving Jesus. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Durwood Stamps Jr; brother, William Earl Leatherwood Jr; and sister, Margaret Wachtel.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Jana (Paul) Barker; Amy (Mark) Swicord, and Laura (Chris) Watson; grandchildren, Wesley Walraven, CJ Braash, Akasha Watson, Evan Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Alex Taylor, and Rachel Swicord; along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stamps will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Wayne Meadows officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 12:00 PM. Interment will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 in Bethpage, TN with a graveside service at 1:00 PM Eastern and 12:00 PM central.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Mrs. Stamps honor for Alzheimers or Dementa Association.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to Covid-19 concerns.
