Graveside services for John M. Eason, 81, of 459 Bond St., who died Wednesday at Porter Memorial Hospital, were held at 11 a.m. today at Graceland Cemetery with the Rev. Darrell Parker officiating.
A lifelong resident of Valparaiso, he was born here July 11, 1893, son of Seth and Dora (Fisher) Eason. On July 23, 1914, he married Herma Kiple, who preceded him in death. He was a retired employee of the former Continental Diamond Fibre Co., and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by three sons, Jack of Cincinnati, Richard K. of Gallatin, Tenn., and James S. of Valparaiso, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made to PMH.
