Mrs. John (Herma) Eason, 72, 459 Bond, died unexpectedly at 6 a.m. today in her home.
Born July 12, 1891, in Cowgill, Mo., she was the daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Kiple. On June 23, 1914, she was married to John M. Eason, who survives.
Mrs. Eason moved to Valparaiso in 1912, and she and her husband have resided in this city and in Chicago since that time. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church and chapter BO, PEO.
Surviving besides the husband are three sons, Jack T., Cincinnati, Richard K., San Mateo, Calif., and James S., Valparaiso; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Tindall, Los Altos, Calif., and Mrs. Pearl Firth, Cowgill; two brothers, Claude Kiple, Krebs, Okla., Lyle Kiple, Fort Myers, Fla.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bartholomew Funeral home with the Rev. Darrell Parker officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
