Mr. Henry Owens age 97, of Mt.Vernon passed away Wednesday April 23rd, 2014 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Ky. He was born on September 16th, 1916 in Rockcastle County the son of the late Lloyd and Cleo Hayes Owens. He was a retired farmer, enjoyed local genealogy, going to Wendy's Restaurant, and was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ.

Survivors are: his wife; Mrs. Thressel Irene Broyles Owens of Mt.Vernon. One daughter; Mrs. Mava June Stamper of Mt.Vernon. One sister; Mrs. Mary Lou Easterly of Englewood, Oh., and by one grandchild; Shawn Stamper of Richmond, Ky. Besides his father & mother he was preceded in death by: two brothers; Fred, and Bob Owens, and by one sister; Georgia Cresswell.
