He was listed as Harsell Culler, working as a Rougher in a steel mill, age 32, born March 1868 in Pennsylvania, his wife, Lottie age 28 born November 1872 in Pennsylvania, and their son, Alfred B. born May 1900 in Pennsylvania. It also stated that both of Harsell parents were born in Pennsylvania.

In the 1910 census, Harsell and his family were still living in Charleroi, Washington County, Pennsylvania. He was listed as Harsell S. Culler, a mill worker in a tin plate company, age 42 born in Pennsylvania, his wife, Lottie age 38 born in Pennsylvania, and their two sons, Alfred B. age 10, and Carl H. age 8, both born in Pennsylvania.

Harsell Culler, 71, of Weirton, West Virginia, formerly a resident of Charleroi, is in a critical condition in a Weirton hospital after being struck by a hit and run driver on a road near Weirton, Tuesday night. Culler, who lives on a farm outside of Weirton, was walking home after going to buy an evening newspaper. He was struck at the roadside by a speeding car and lay there unconscious for some time before being found. Exposure incident to the accident has made his condition critical and pneumonia was feared. He remained unconscious until last night when he partly recovered for a time.
Although he has been gone from Charleroi for a number of years many older residents will recall him. He lived at Luella Avenue and Second Street here and was one of the first residents, coming to Charleroi with Hussy-Binns Company. C. B. Culler of Lookout Avenue is a brother of the aged man and Mrs. Hannah Stahlman of Crest Avenue, is a sister. The driver of the hit and run car was not apprehended.
