He is the son of Emiline Gertrude Nash and Fred Smith. He married Mirl Mae Sunderland on 22 November 1946 and they were sealed the 23 February 1949. He was a WWII Veteran. He was buried 16 October 1996.

Our loving father and grandfather, Fred Floyd Healey, 83, died Saturday. Oct. 12, 1996 American Fork.
He was born May 23, 1913 in Alpine, the son of Fred Smith and Emiline Gertrude Nash Healey. Fred married Mirl Mae Sunderland Nov. 22, 1946 in Lehi. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was an avid skier in his youth. He helped build the first ski lift and lodge at Alta Ski Resort. Fred served in Guatemala and Panama as a Tech Sgt. in the U.S. Army in World War II. He worked as a millwright at Geneva Steel Plant for 30 years.
Fred was a High Priest in the LDS Church, a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, good neighbor and home teacher.
He is survived by five children: Donna (Michael) Spears, Maxine (Brian) Hamson, both of Willard; Marilyn Healey, Lehi; Karl (Robyn) Healey, Orangeville; Kay (Sharon) Healey, Pleasant Grove; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Dayton Healey, Nash Healey, Rita Molyneaux and Rae Colt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mirl; his parents, one brother, Jack Healey; and a sister, Lyle Homer.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 E. 100 North, American Fork. Friends may call Wednesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the American Fork City Cemetery.
