Wilma Jean Pate, 93, of Bloomington passed away 12:35 pm, April 20, 2014, at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born, August 5, 1920 in Bloomington, Indiana to Dewey W. Wood and Alpha Mae Wood (Dewar). Wilma was a 1938 graduate of Bloomington High School. She married Rev Louis Edmond Pate in 1939 in Bloomington, Indiana. She worked for RCA in repairs for 33 years retiring in 1983 and was a homemaker and loved her family very much.

Wilma was of the Apostolic Faith in Bloomington attending several churches evangelizing with her husband and was very involved, she loved life, cooking, quilting, her children, grandchildren, and especially loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children: three sons: Marvin L. (Terry) Pate, Michael D. (Jackie) Pate, Dennis N. Pate all of Bloomington, one daughter: Beth Anne (Danny) Hillenberg, of Linton, IN, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, five sisters: Phyllis Adkins Alice (Ray) Turpin, Linda (Randall) Mitchner, all of Bloomington, Barbara (Norman) Schoolcraft, of Martinsville, Sue (Kenneth) Robinson, of Bedford.

Wilma was preceded in death by her: parents, husband, two son: Keith Wayne Pate, Louis Raymond Pate, one great grandson: Taz W. Curtis, five brothers Lee Roy, Lowell, James, Robert an Richard Wood, six sisters, Martha Stogsdell, Mary Frances Wood, Betty Smith, Jeannette Larimer, Patty Harrelson, Nancy Mitchell.
