George Ashby, 76, of Fulton died Wednesday at Oswego Hospital. Born in Fulton to the late Ashton and Hilda Ashby, he remained a life resident. George retired from Sealright in 1996 as a tow motor operator where he had worked for 25 years. George loved to collect baseball cards and coins. He had also umpired for softball leagues for many years. He was predeceased by his son, George R. Ashby who died in 2004 and by a daughter, Carolee Ashby who died in 1968; brothers, Al, Dick, Fred, Robert and Frank Ashby; sisters, Charlotte, Lois, Kate and Maria;
