Mrs. Hitt was the fourth of seven children born to the union of Wesley M. Bonner and Caroline A. Frazier, who married in Franklin Parish on December 31, 1878.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; an infant daughter, Edith Julia Hitt; her parents; and one sister, Agnes Bonner Holloway.
She was survived by her husband, Benjamin "Ben" Davis Hitt; two sisters, Bessie Bonner Mason and Edith Lena Bonner; three brothers, Robert Paul Bonner, Charles McDonald Bonner, and Mark Hebert Bonner, Sr.; nieces and nephews.
