Daniel Speck
Daniel Speck died at his home in Walker Township this Friday morning, April 6, 1928, at 7:30 o'clock after an illness of ten days. He was aged 61 years, 6 months and 11 days.
He was born in Ashland, Ohio, September 25, 1866 and was a son of William and Jane Speck. the family moved to Huntingdon County when he was still quite young so that he has lived practically all his life in this county.
For many years Mr. Speck has been one of the progressive and prosperous farmers of Walker Township and during the years of his residence there he acquired a reputation for honesty and integrity. He was known as a good neighbor and had many friends who will mourn his passing.
He was united in marriage to Miss Ella Buller of South Huntingdon who survives him along with the following brothers and sisters: Dr. George Speck, Pittsburgh, Pa., Horatio Speck, Mrs. Ada Pecht, both of Dennison, Ohio, Misses Laura and Annie Speck, 913 Washington Street.
The funeral service will be held from his late home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. E. L. Manges and in charge of harry Brown & Son. Interment in Riverview Cemetery.
