Miss Annie C. Speck, 86, life-long resident of Huntingdon, passed away Monday, December 6, 1954 at 12:01 p.m. at her home after a short illness. The deceased had resided at 915 Washington Street in Huntingdon for the past 48 years.
She was born October 2, 1868, at the Speck farm in Walker Township, and was a daughter of William and Jane (Brenneman) Speck. She was never married.
Miss Speck was a member of the Baptist Church in Huntingdon.
She is survived by the following nieces: Miss Donna J. Pecht of 915 Washington Street, Huntingdon; Mrs. Virginia Wiand of Dennison, Ohio; Mrs. Laura Roth of Massillon, Ohio; and Mrs. Frances Eichel of Pittsburgh. One nephew, Walter Speck of Dennison, Ohio; a great niece, Mrs. Shirley Pittenger of Philadelphia; and two grand nephews, William and Fred Eichel of Pittsburgh, also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 8, at 2:30 p.m. in the Bechtel funeral home in Huntingdon. The Rev. David J. Heim, her pastor, will have charge of the services and burial will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of services.
