He was a graduate of Flaget High School, a veteran of the Korean War and retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years. He was an avid bass fisherman and hunter.
Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores Bensing.
He is survived by his children John Bensing (Mary), Linda Bright (Mark) Don Bensing (Chris) and Steve Bensing (Wanda); 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
His funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1920 Newburg Road, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
