In August, 1926, Elizabeth married Sylvester ‘Kitty’ Hensler in Cumberland, Maryland.
On November 7, 1927, Elizabeth gave birth to a daughter, Marie Elizabeth Hensler.
On May 16, 1959, one day after his 59th birthday, Sylvester fell from a terrace at his home. He suffered a fractured skull and was taken to Homestead Hospital. Six days later, on May 22, he died of his injuries.
On May 29, 1967, while visiting her daughter in Bellville, Ohio, Elizabeth suffered a heart attack. She was pronounced dead at 9:50 PM.
Her body was transported to Homestead, where a viewing was held at the R.V. Anderson Funeral Home.
On Friday, June 6, Elizabeth was buried next to her husband at St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery.
An interesting coincidence: it was 29 years earlier (almost to the date) that Elizabeth’s mother had died. And, as her mother before her, Elizabeth died at her daughter’s home.
