Lester A. Schaefer, 65, of N7157 Long Lake Road, Brillion, died Thursday, April 27, 1989 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Sunday at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Rev. David Kipfmiller will officiate with burial at Westside Cemetery.
Mr. Schaefer was born march 15, 1924 in the Town of Rantoul, son of Otto Schaefer and the late Bertha Mathiebe Schaefer. He married the former Rufena Olp on
November 21, 1942 at Reedsville. Mr Sachefer was employed at Larsen Canning Company for 31 years in Brillion, retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. John St. James
Lutheran church, Reedsville.
Survivors include his wife, Rufena; his father, Otto Schaefer of Brillion; a sister, Mildred Matznick of rural Chilton; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law,
Carl and Violet Devereux of Green Bay, Reuben and Joan Olp of Palm Bay, Florida and Marcella Spatchek of Reedsville; nieces, nephews, and many friends survive. He was preceded in death by his mother, a sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
Friends may call at Wieting Schneider Funeral Home,Reedsville, 5 pm to 9 pm Saturday; 8 am to 11 am on Sunday and then at the church from 12 noon until the hour of service.
