AUGUSTA BERKHOLTZ

Mrs. August Berkholtz, 78 (photo) of Reedsville died Monday afternoon at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. John-James Ev. Lutheran church in Reedsville, the Rev. Elwood Haberman officiating. Burial will be in the Westside church cemetery.

Mrs. Berkholtz, nee Augusta Brandt, was born in 1871 in Manitowoc and was married to Mr. Berkholtz Nov. 12, 1889. The couple marked its 60th wedding anniversary in 1949.

Survivors are the husband; four daughters; Mrs. H. J. Hahn, Mrs. Roland Mattes of Collins, Mrs. George Persohn and Mrs. August Schwanke of Reedsville; two sons, Edward and Arthur of Reedsville; two brothers, Emil and John of Shawano;
two sisters, Mrs. Emma Rusch of Appleton and Mrs. Amelia Gisch of Suring; 1 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Reedsville funeral home after 7 o’clock this evening until 11 a.m. Thursday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the time of services. The casket will not be opened after the church services.
