Ida Mae Johns, 89, of Frontenac, passed away at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Medicalodge of Frontenac.She was born July 21, 1924 at Pittsburg, the daughter of Melvin C. and Margaret M. (Watson) Thomas. She attended local schools.Ida was married to Frank Baker, Jr. She later married Charles R. Clinton. In 1955, she was united in marriage to William H. Johns.Mrs. Johns worked as a manager for Bob's Shoe Warehouse.Membership was held in the Independent Bible Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star.Survivors include, four sons, Larry Joe Baker and his wife, Patricia of Miami, OK, Jerry Dean Clinton and his wife, Rosemary of Overland Park, KS, Anthony Ray Clinton and his wife, Nancy of Frontenac, KS and Charles Realto Clinton, Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Frontenac, KS; a daughter-in-law, Connie Clinton of Springfield, MO; fifteen grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Allen Jay Clinton, a granddaughter, Lisa Perrino, three brothers, Irvin, Sidney, and Frances Thomas, and three sisters, Leona Lamar, Lorene Johns, and Myrtle Margaret Thomas.Graveside Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (March 26) at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Pittsburg with Rev. James Fryer officiating. Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery. Friends may call from 12 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Brenner Mortuary to sign the register. The casket will remain closed. Memorials may be given to the Frontenac Recreation Center. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762.
