Trude Smithers, 85, of Monclova, OH, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Born August 6, 1928 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Clarence and Agnes (Mickens) Trinckler.

Trude was a lifetime member of Redeemer Missionary Church and very active in ministry. She was a life-long homemaker in the Toledo area and had many friends in her community.

Trudes first husband was Donald Koch, who preceded her in death in 1967. She then married Robert Smithers in 1976, who also preceded her in death.

Trude is survived by her loving children, son, Donald (Rosalie) Koch III, daughter, Kristine (Kenneth) L. Wagner, brother, Bernard (Marge) Trinckler, step-children, Melissa Weber, and Robb Smithers, grandchildren, Tammy (Henry) Smith, Donald (Melissa) Koch IV, Ali Strahan, Tony Weber, Rachel Weber, and Jake Weber, and great grandchildren, Natalie Smith, Max Koch, Evan Strahan, Will Koch, Katie Smith, Claire Koch, Henry Smith, Elliot Strahan.

Visitation will be Monday, March 10, from 4-8pm, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road (at Jackman), Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11am, where she will lie in state at 10am, Chaplain Christopher Roper officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH.

Memorial contributions may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, National Headquarters.
