Fred Mayer, 75, a long time resident of Armour died Tuesday afternoon in a Mitchell hospital where he had been a patient for the past three weeks. Meyers was born in South Russia and came to the United States with his parents at the age of four and engaged in farming in Mitchell until retiring and moving to Armour several years ago. After the death of his wife in 1940, he has made his home with his sons. Among survivors are four sons, Leo, John, Ramey and Alvin of the Armour community and five daughters. Funeral services will be held in the Congregational Community Church here Saturday afternoon at 2 pm with the Rev RJ Hoffman officiating. Arrangements are in charge of the Clements Funeral Home.
