Mary Joyce Hurt, 71, Clarksville, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, at her residence.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dorothy Hartzog officiating.
Burial will be in Beech Cemetery, Hendersonville. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home.
Neal-Tarpley is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Nov. 1, 1934, in Guyton, Ga., daughter of Ennis Hotchkiss and Edna Nesmith Grimes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Ralph and Walter Hotchkiss, and one sister, Annie Laurie Akins.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Red Hat Club.
Survivors include her husband, Edd S. Hurt Jr.; son, Edd S. Hurt III; daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Steve) Nelson; a sister, Rita Economos, North Augusta, S.C.; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Cate Nelson.
Pallbearers will be Steve Nelson, John H. Peay, Ed Hinkle, Wendell Akins Sr., Wendell Akins Jr., Guy Livingston and Geoff Livingston.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Camp Rainbow, P.O. Box 3522, Clarksville, TN 37043. Arrangements entrusted to Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home, 335 Franklin St., Clarksville, TN 37040, (931) 645-4420.
