Alfred M. Klann, 85, of the Reedsville Manor, died Tuesday, May 14, at the
Reedsville Manor.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John & St. James Evangelical
Lutheran Church. The Rev. Harlyn Kuschel will officiate with burial to follow
in the church cemetery.
Mr. Klann was born January 11, 1900, in the Town of Rockland, son of the late
William and Wilhelmina Bubolz Klann. Mr. Klann farmed all his life. He married
the former Adeline Reinke on November 18, 1933. Mr. Klann was a member of
Reedsville Senior Citizens, honorary member of Rockes Hunting Club and past
member of the church council and school board of St. John & St. James.
Survivors include a son, Major Eugene Klann of Carlisle, Penn.; two daughters,
Mrs. Howard (JoAnn) Krann of Brillion and Mrs. Ronald (Audrey) Sweetman of
Sturgeon Bay; two brothers, Fred and Hildegard of Lake Wood, California and
Edward of Chilton; two sisters, Alvina Haase of Chilton and Miss Sarah Klann
of Reedsville and five grandchildren also survived. He was preceded in death
by his wife, Adeline.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and
at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Miss Reinke Becomes Bride Of Mr. Klann at Rockland
The Emmanuel Evangelical church at Rockland was the setting this afternoon at
3 o'clock for the wedding ceremony uniting Miss Adeline Reinke, daughter of
William Becker, Reedsville, route 2, and Alfred Klann, son of Mrs. William Klann,
Chilton, route 6. The service was read by the Rev. C.W. Schlueter.
When the bridal party entered the church auditorium, the wedding march from
Lohengrin was played by Mrs. Edwin Reinke. Miss Vila Becker, sister of the bride,
was maid of honor, and Miss Sarah Klann, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid.
The groom was attended by Edward Klann and Helmuth Rusch.
The bride wore a gown of white satin and lace and a long veil in cap effect. She
carried an arm bouquet of white chrysanthemums. Miss Becker wore yellow taffeta
and Miss Klann was dressed in green taffeta. Both carried arm bouquets.
After the ceremony at 6 o'clock wedding dinner was served to about 100 guests at
the home of the groom's mother near Chilton.
Out-of-town guests include Mr. and Mrs. Fred Klann, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. John
Cherney and children, Mrs. Daniel Bubolz and children, and the families of August
Bubolz, Walter Lemke, and Martin Bubolz, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Habermeyer
and the Henry Cornelius family, Medford; the families of Albert Bubolz, Pittsville,
Hubert Haese, Hilbert, Ed Seehauer, Black Creek, R.J. Breckenridge, Manitowoc,
Otto Rusch, Ed Reinke, Herman Lau, Albert and Raymand Behnke, Brillion, Ed Mahloc,
Collins, Henry Klann, William Lau, and Herman Klann, Chilton, and Miss Adeline
Haese, Madison.
