"Glenn A. Bowland, 48, Maitland, died at 8:05 p.m. Thursday at a St. Joseph hospital where he had been admitted a few hours earlier.

He was born March 21, 1921, at Maitland, and was the son of Oye H. and Elsie May Pressman Bowland, Maitland. He was married January 8, 1951, at St. Joseph, to Miss June Hewitt, who also survives. Bowland was a farmer, a Veteran of World War II, member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Maitland. The Rev. R.G. Deeds and Wayne Hasselquist will officiate and burial will be in the Maitland cemetery.

Besides his wife of the home and his parents, he is survived by two sons, Terry and Jeff, also of the home; four brothers, Lee Bowland, Minneapolis, Minn.; Maurice Bowland, Mound City; Lynn Bowland, Maitland, and Kenneth Bowland, Skidmore; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Baxter, Sedro Woolley, Wash.; Mrs. Lorene Davison, Tarkio; Mrs. Donna Mae Heck and Mrs. Lucille Zachary, Maitland.

The body is at the Atchison Funeral Home, Maitland."
