Funeral services were conducted at the Tracy Lutheran church on Monday afternoon of this week for the late Mrs. Olai Monsen, who died at her home near this city on Friday, March 31. Rev. H. L. Obrestad conducted the services.

Inga Margarethe Enger Monsen was born on June 18, 1879 in Norway, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Enger. When she was 6 years of age she came to America with her parents, who settled on a farm near Bode, Iowa.

On November 3, 1897, the young woman became the bride of Olai Monsen of Bode. They became the parents of three children, a daughter and two sons, and made their home on a farm near Bode until 1913, when they located on a farm near Milroy.

In the spring of 1920 they moved to a farm just north of Tracy, and that has been the family home ever since.

The Monsens observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1947, and some months later Mrs. Monsen was stricken with a heart ailment which eventually resulted in her death on Friday, at the age of 70 years, 9 months.

Surviving are the husband, a daughter, Mrs. Mable Rosvold of Milaca and two sons, Clarence and Oren of Amiret. A sister, Mrs. Nellie Arne of Lisbon, N.D., and a brother Hans Enger of Ruthven, also survive.

Both Mrs. Monsen and her husband were active in the affairs of the Lutheran church here, as they were at their former place of residence.
