STATE COLLEGE - Anne M. Close, 94, of State College passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Elmcroft Senior Living, state College. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Colose, who died Jan. 13, 1985.
Born Jan. 23, 1920, at Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late William Michael and Angelina (Balotta) Speranza.
Mrs. Colose was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield.
She was a housewife and mother, and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are a grandson, Anthony Mona and his wife, Lynn, of State College; son-in-law, Raymond Mona of Meadville; two great-grandsons, Hunter and Tanner Mona of State College; a brother, William Speranza of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Colose was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Joan Mona; two brothers, Joseph and Michael Speranza; and three sisters, Jean Stout, Josephine Wood and Constance Darke.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
