Mrs. Alice Baker, of Marble Hill, died December 6, 1990 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 24, 1899 near Marble Hill, daughter of Henry and Sophia (Dieckroeger) Filer.
On October 22, 1920 she married John W. Baker. He died May 14, 1975.
She retired from Deevers Shoe Factory at Marble Hill.
She was a member of Union Ridge Congregational Methodist Church.
Three grandchildren survive her, as do two sisters-in-law.
One daughter, Alveda Russell, four brothers, and five sisters preceded her in death.
Service was Saturday at Liley Funeral Home, with burial in Glen Allen Cemetery.
