Johnnie was the son of Haden and Nota Walker.

Johnnie married Jean Lewis. They were the parents of two children:

1. Jean Lewis Walker, born 1951
2. Judith Lynn Walker, born 1953

Johnnie had the following siblings:

Services for John J. Walker, 81, of Eastlake, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Melton Mortuary, Inc., 1200 Harper Road, Beckley, W.Va.

Mr. Walker died Sept. 15, 2005, at LakeWest Hospital in Willoughby, Ohio.

Born June 30, 1924, in Lego, W.Va., he lived in the Beckley area before moving to Lake County 45 years ago.

His greatest joys were spending time with his family, dancing and listening to bluegrass music.

Mr. Walker was a machine operator at the former Ohio Rubber Company in Willoughby before his retirement.

Survivors are his daughter, Judith W. (Jan) Pickering of Eastlake; grandson, Paul M. (Leigh Anne) Walker; step-grandson, Stephen Homenuk; sisters, Norma Pegram of Beckley, W.Va., Sarah (Roy) Roles of Odd, W.Va., Wana (Edward) Mahaffey of Beckley and Nancy (Otis) Mahaffey of Mentor; brother, Haden Stanley (Ruby) Walker of Leesburg, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

His wife of 50 years, Glenna Jean Walker, died Sept. 9, 2000. His parents, Haden A. and Nota A. Walker; sisters, Cressa Fendley and Waneta Mitchem; and brothers, Kerby Walker, Harold Walker and James Walker, are also deceased.

Friends may call locally from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Davis Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. Additional calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Melton Mortuary, Inc. in Beckley, West Virginia. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens (sic) in Beckley.
