Mable Ruth Ferrell Collins, age 75, of Mooresburg, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 03, 2014.
She was a little spitfire, loved by many and will be greatly missed. She was a member of Slate Hill Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Laura Ferrell; and brothers, Joe, Clarence, and Carl Ferrell.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Dean Collins; children, Mike (Rita) Collins, Frances (Scott) Carpenter, and Allen (Angi) Collins; grandsons, Daniel and Kevin Collins, and Ethan Carpenter; brothers, Jack (Faye) Ferrell and Robert "Doug" (Sue) Ferrell; sisters, Rosalee (Gen) Greene, Joyce (Mac) McGinnis, Barb (special brother-in-law, Grover) Ferguson; sisters-in-law, Betty Ferrell and Kathleen Ferrell; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Slate Hill Church with Rev. Jamie Jarnigan and Rev. Jim Jarnigan officiating.
Mrs. Collins will lie in state one hour prior to the services.
Interment will follow in Kirkpatrick Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Slate Hill Church in her memory. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
