Mrs. Helen Pomranke, 90, of R. 1, Chilton, widow of Arthur, died Thursday night at the Toth Nursing home in Chilton following a lengthy illness. She had resided at the home the past four years.
She was born July 15, 1885 in the town of Chilton, a daughter of Hans W. and Ida Thede Timm. She attended Chilton High School. Mrs. Pomranke taught school at Sherwood for one year. She was married to Mr. Pomranke on Aug. 16, 1910 at Chilton. He died July 5, 1971. She was president of the Ladies German Aid society, Chilton for many years.
Survivors include a son, George on the homestead farm. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
