Evelyn L. See, 93, of Mathias, W.Va., passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at the home of her daughter.
Born in Edinburg, Va., on June 8, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Cook and Laura Tilden (Coffman) Cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Stanley W. See in 1986; one son, Tyrone Wilson See; one great-grandson, Aron Northcraft; three sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara J. Miller and husband, John, of Moorefield, W.Va., and Marjorie L. Sherman and husband, Neil, of Mathias; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; Lena S. Jenkins of Baltimore, Md., who made her home with the Sees for many years; and a special friend, James Weeks of Mathias, W.Va.
The funeral service will be Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at the Garretts Chapel U.M.C. at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ernest Halterman, Pastor Dan Sterns and Pastor Kelly Simmons officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mathias.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McKee Funeral Home, Baker, W.Va. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Baker, W.Va.
