Former Hastings resident Shirley Mae (Dewey) Stone, 82 died Monday, June 4, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff, Calif.
Services were held Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers in Red Bluff, Calif., with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery in Red Bluff.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.

Shirley was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Hastings, Neb., to Garwood Charles and Leona Mae (Buskirk) Dewey. She married Milford (Milt) Butler and moved to Long Beach, Calif., area.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Connie Butler Beamer; brothers, Richard Dewey, Charles Dewey, Dale Dewey, and two infant brothers; sister; Doris Riley; husbands, Milford (Milt) Butler, and Joe Smith; sisters-in-law, Emma (Robert) Dewey, and Marian (Charles) Dewey. On June 11, 2012, her loving husband, Don Stone passed.
She is survived by her sister, Blanche Betty (Otto) Fischer of Hastings, Nebr., brother, Robert (Ruth) Dewey of Ormond Beach, Fla; sister-in-law, Mary Ann (George) Jackson of Van Couver, Wa; stepdaughters, Shirley (Jim) Adams, and Barbara (Joe) Byrd of Red Bluff, Calif., numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
