Golda Emily Estell, 86, wife of the late Ellis E. Estell, died Wednesday, December 22, 1976 at Madison County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 11, 1890 in Adair County, the daughter of William E. Beaman and Sarah Ellen Nelson Beaman. She married Ellis E. Estell on December 26, 1909 at her parent's home in Adair County. He preceded her in death in 1963.

A graduate of Earlham Academy, she taught school in Adair County. She lived her entire life in Adair and Madison County and was a member of the Webster Methodist Church and later the United Methodist Church of Winterset.

She was member of United Methodist Women, a Charter member of W.W Club, also a member of Metallic Club and Qui Vi.

Survivors include three daughter, Mrs. Emory (Thelma) Klingaman of Slater, Iowa; Mrs. Loren (Doris) Goode of Walkerton, Indiana; Mrs. William (Verna) Turnmire of Osage, Iowa, a son, Wayne Estell of Winterset; also two sisters, Mrs. Percy Estell and Mrs. Cash Crawford of Winterset, 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Estell was preceded in death by two daughters, Helen Alexander and Bonnelle Heubrock
