THELMA E. KLINGAMAN, Ankeny

Thelma E. Klingaman, 87, of Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny died of cancer Sept. 3, 1998, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 5, at Altoona Funeral Home. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Thelma Klingaman was born in Adair County and had lived most of her life in Polk and Madison counties. She also had lived in Story County for approximately 12 years. She moved to Ankeny over a year ago. Thelma was a retired school teacher and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Huxley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Emory; two daughters, Wilma Jean Mitchel of Redfield and Judith Elings of Colfax; two sons, James of LeClaire and Keith of Girard, Ohio; one brother, Wayne Estell of Winterset; two sisters, Doris Goode of Indianola and Verna Turnmire of Osage; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
