Harper--Services for Lendon J. Palmer, 75, of Harper, who died Wednesday at his residence, will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Kerrville with the Rev. Wellborn Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Born Sept. 11, 1919 in Lima, Mr. Palmer had been a resident of Harper since 1968, formerly residing in Kerrville. He was retired paving contractor and a real estate developer. He was a member of the Harper Pentecostal Church.
He married Stella Mae Freeman on June 10, 1939 in Kerrville. She survives.
Other survivors include five daughters and four sons-in-law. Charolet and Buzzy Parker of Harper, Deloris and Dub Williams of Leesville, La., Bobbi Lynn Palmer of Boerne, Lois Kay and George Diven of Caldwell, and Linda Dian and Rick Pooler of Allen; a son and daughter-in-law, Lendon Danny and Polly Palmer of Fredericksburg; four sisters, Lenora Hill and Bertha Durst, both of Kerrville, Lois Dechert of Victoria and Callie Renfro of Aztec, NM; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lendon Danny Palmer Jr., C. J. Palmer, Michael Brown, Lisle Parker, Chad McGiboney and Blake Wade.
Memorials may be made to the Harper Pentecostal Church or the Harper Volunteer EMS. Grimes Funeral Chapel in Kerrville is in charge of arrangements.
