Mrs. Gladys Mathis, age 82, died, Tuesday, November 6, at the Yell County Hospital in Danville. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Collins Cathey and the late Jospehine Burruss Cathey. She was the widow of the Late Roy L. Mathis, and a member of the Plainview United Methodist Church.
Her survivors include two sons, Fay Mathis of Danville, Maxie L. Mathis, Sr. of Russellville, one brother-in-law Irby Mathis of Melbourne, AR.; one sister Mrs. Lois Cathey Wayland of Lttle Rock; four grandsons, one granddaughter and four great grandchildren.
