Friends here received word today of the death in Sydney, New South Wales of William Crain Bowers 2d, forty-three, formerly a lawyer of this city. Mr. Bowers was on a pleasure trip around the world at the time of his death. The body is en route to New York and burial will be in Cooperstown, N.Y. Mr. Bowers was formerly a member of the firm of Bowers & Sands lawyers, out of which grew the firm of Laughlin, Gerard, Bowers & Halpin, 57 William Street. He was a member of the Union Club of this city and the Garden City Country Club. He had lived for a number of years on the Isle of Wight, off the coast of England.
