RENO, NV - Thelma F. (Bailey) Steffancci, 94, of Round Robin Lane, Reno and formerly of Woonsocket, died July 25, 2014 at home. She was the wife of the late Charles P. Steffancci. Born in Lincoln, she was the daughter of the late Leon A. and J. Inez (Pratt) Bailey.
Mrs. Steffancci worked as a Teacher's Aide for Woonsocket School Department, retiring in 1981. She previously worked for Little Shaver Day Care, Woonsocket and the former U.S. Rubber Company, Woonsocket. She was a volunteer with the Girl Scouts of RI for over forty years, served on the Woonsocket Senior Council for over twenty years, was the District 64 Representative for the Silver Haired Legislature for sixteen years, a board member of Woonsocket Family & Child Services for twelve years and was a charter member of AARP Woonsocket. Thelma, a member of the Trinity Club, Woonsocket was also a member of various senior church clubs in the city.
She is survived by a son, Leon Steffancci and his wife Celeste of West Boylston, MA, a daughter, Linda Raeder and her husband Michael of Reno, NV, two grandchildren, Daniel Stack and Shiniri Montesanto and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles and W. Kenneth Bailey, Virginia Blanchette, Shirley Kenney, Marion Marcet, Donna Reed, Gladys Schnorr and Iris Willett.
