J. D. Dupree, 79, Delhi, La., died at a Monroe hospital Friday morning.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church at Delhi, on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. The body will be at the family residence seven miles south of Delhi until time for the service. Reverend Steinbaugh, of the Delhi Baptist Church, and Rev. C. S. Wroten of Winnsboro, will officiate. Burial, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Delhi, will be in the Masonic Cemetery of Delhi. There will be a Masonic service at the grave.

Mr. Dupree, husband of the late Lucy Anglin, had resided in Delhi for the past thirty-two years. He was born and reared at Coushatta, La., where he lived until moving to Delhi.

Mr. Dupree is survived by three sons, Claude C. Dupree, of New Orleans, Lake Dupree of Crowley, and D. Curtis Dupree of Delhi; four daughters, Mrs. Cleo D. Reynolds, Mrs. J. M. Sledge, and Mrs. L. A. Stout of Delhi and Mrs. Douglas Robinson of Rayville, La.; nine grandsons, ten granddaughters, eight great-grandchildren, one brother, D. W. Dupree of Coushatta, and one sister, Mrs. W. C. Elliott, of Coushatta, La.
