Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Delhi, La., for Claude C. Dupree, who died suddenly Tuesday at the Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi. He was 83.

Interment will be in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Dupree was a longtime resident of New Orleans and a native of Delhi. Before his retirement from the insurance industry, Mr. Dupree was active in many insurance organizations.

He was past president of the Louisiana Rating and Fire Protection Bureau, the Louisiana Fieldmen's Association, and the Honorable Order of the Blue Goose. He was also a member of the Eastern Star, Masons, and a Shriner.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Daisy K. Dupree, of Delhi; a son, William K. Dupree, of New Orleans; a brother, D. C. Dupree, of Delhi; three sisters, Mrs. Cleo Reynolds and Mrs. Valley Sledge, both of Delhi, and Mrs. Douglas Robinson, of Rayville, La.; and five grandchildren.
