David "Bud" Honeycutt, 79, born August 3, 1934, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014. He was a resident of West Feliciana Parish and a former maintenance supervisor at Louisiana State Penitentiary from 1970 to 2005.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Juanita Honeycutt; three children: Robert Honeycutt and his wife Cynthia, Richard Honeycutt and his wife Edna, and Cathy Stroud and her husband Louis; three step-children: Winona Ramirez and her husband Winston, John Ott and his wife Cindy, Michael Ott and his wife Shirley;

fifteen grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren;

two brothers: John Honeycutt and his wife Betsy, and Robet A. Honeycutt;

two sisters: Marie White, and Jimmie Lynn Braddox and her husband Bennie; and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Millie Cruise; father Cyrus Blanchard Honeycutt; brothers W. R. Honeycutt and his wife Jean; and Wilber Honeycutt; grandson Jeremy Ott, and great-grandson Dustin Paul Honeycutt; six sisters: Evelyn Cole, Lucy Spence, Elaine Spence, Shirley Leckie, Mildred Bush, and Georgia Tidwell.

Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, with Masonic services, funeral services, conducted by Bro. Paul Rodriguez and Bro. Mike Clark.
Interment will be held at the Honeycutt Cemetery off of Pickneyville Road on Carter Road.

Pallbearers will be Dale Honeycutt, Danny Honeycutt, Colin Honeycutt, David Stroud, Chase Honeycutt, Anthony Ott, Eddie Honeycutt, Christopher Stroud, Brent Roberts, and Richard Honeycutt Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ross Maggio, Hilton Butler, and Al Chenowith.

Special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Grace Nursing Home for their services.
