Died Friday, July 27, 1990, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 61, a native of Grayson, and a resident of Angola, where he was a retired major correctional officer at Angola with 30 years of service.

Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home, Zachary, 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday. Visiting at Tunica Baptist Church, 1 until services at 3 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Jesse Means. Burial in Thompson Family Cemetery, Ponds, Miss.

Survived by wife, Mrs. Harrell Prone Honeycutt, Angola; three sons and daughters-in-law, W.R. and Donna Honeycutt Jr., Douglas and Connie Honeycutt, and Charles Honeycutt, all of Angola; five sisters, Mildred Bush and Georgia Tidwell, Houston, Texas, Marie White and Jimmie Lynn Braddock, Columbia, and Elaine Spence, Angola; four brothers, Wilbur Honeycutt, Houston, Texas, Johnny Honeycutt, Olla, Robert A. and David E. Honeycutt, both of Angola; three grandchildren, William R. Honeycutt III, Jessica Nicole Thompson and Larry A. Thompson Jr., all of Angola; and a son-in-law, Larry A. Thompson Sr., Angola.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Jean Thompson.

Pallbearers will be Billy Travis, Darryl Vannoy, Tommy Haywood, Mike Mulkey, Leroy Holiday, and Mike Gunnells. Honorary pallbearers are Bubba and Hilton Butler, Carl and Boo Gresham, and Ray and Bert Dixon.
