John Dooley, son of John Dooley and Mary Dooley, formerly Longworth
When they were married on 8 June 1886, John Dooly was a Soldier stationed at Athlone Barracks.

He became a pupil at The Royal Hibernian Military School, Phoenix Park, Dublin on 18 July 1898, and enlisted in The Connaught Rangers on 9 April 1901
He was enumerated at the School in the 1901 census, taken on 31st March/1st April 1901
John Dooley, aged 13, born in Co. Westmeath. He was Pupil 43 out of 396 who were present.
