ESTHER RAABE RITES TUESDAY
Services for Mrs. Esther Raabe, 79, Route 3, Norfolk, will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hadar. The Rev. Richard Schliewe will officiate, and burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk.
Visitation will be Monday from 3 t0 9 p.m. at the Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Raabe died Saturday at a Norfolk hospital. She was born September 23, 1908, and confirmed June 4, 1922, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hadar. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School. On January 15, 1928, she married Harlen Raabe at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They farmed in the Hadar area and for a number of years she operated a wedding catering service. She was a charter member of Immanuel Lutheran Ladies' Aid.
Surviving are one son and one daughter, Norman Raabe of Hadar and Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Oleson of Norfolk; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Raabe of Hadar; a son-in-law, Robert Abler of Yankton, South Dakota; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Helmer Pufahl of Norfolk.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 27, 1981, one son, one daughter, two grandsons and one sister.
