  From the Wed 9 Oct 1907 edition of Gettysburg, PA's Gettysburg Compiler:
  JESSE BOLLINGER, a widely known businessman of Hanover, died last Wednesday from valvular heart trouble aged 64 years, 7 months and 19 days. He was a son of Jacob M and Anna Bollinger and was born in Carroll Co.
  When he was a boy the family moved to Adams county near Bollingers Mill. He first conducted a grocery and drug store in Hanover, then became a partner of the late John E. Stine in the clothing business and after Mr. Stine's death conducted the business until he retired from active business several years ago. He was an ardent Democrat.
  The funeral was held last Saturday, services by Rev. Ellis Hay, of Emmanuel Reformed church, of which deceased was a member, interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Hanover.
  He leaves two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Paul W Kohler, of Hudson, N.Y., Miss Anna Bollinger at home, Preston M. Bollinger, of Philadelphia, and John J. Bollinger, Esq., of York. Two brothers survive, Eli Bollinger, of near Sell's Station, this county, and Ephraim Bollinger of Moulstown, York Co.
