Emma Christine Christiansen, 74, of Schaller, passed away March 13, 1987 at the Buena Vista County Hospital, Storm Lake. Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Schaller. Pastor Albert Buelow officiating, of Odebolt. Attendants were Gary Ronfeldt, Charles Hansen, Larry Grieme, Reinhold Bode, Marvin Franz and Lee Witte. Interment was in the Schaller Cemetery, under the direction of Farber & Otteman Funeral Home, Schaller. Emma, the daughter of Christian S. Larsen, was born November 3, 1912 in Cook Township, Sac Co., Iowa. She was baptized June 25, 1913 in Odebolt by the Lutheran Pastor Oscar F.

Dahlberg, and confirmed November 7, 1926 by Rev. H. Hettler at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller, Iowa. She graduated from Schaller High School in 1930, completed a two year elementary course at the University of Northern Iowa, and earned a B.A. Degree from Buena Vista College. She taught in the rural schools in Sac County and the Galva Public School. On June 1, 1940 she was married to Floyd E. Christiansen by Rev. Martin Klaus at Sac City, Iowa. Floyd passed away April 3, 1986. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller and the Ladies Aid.

Preceding her death were her parents, husband, a sister Anna Sophie, and two brothers, Clarence and Carl. Survivors include a sister, Clara Youngren of Odebolt and nieces and nephews and many cousins.
