She was born at Broxburn, Scotland, and came to Calgary in 1907. She was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church. Her husband, John, died in Calgary 10 years ago.
Mrs. Swanson is survived by her daughter, Mrs. E.R. (Helen) Upton, Calgary; two sons, William of Calgary and James of White Rock, B.C.; six grandchildren; a great grandson; a sister, Mrs. George Fairley, of White Rock, and a brother James in Scotland.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:45 p.m. at Jacques funeral home, with Rev. Dr. F.S. Morley officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery.
