HALL SUMMIT, LA- Funeral services for Mrs. Bertis Wiggins, 97, will be held at 11: 30 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Drive. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hall Summit.
Bertis was born May 6, 1911 in Ringgold, LA to Ervey Frank and Mattie Skipper Bates. She passed away at The Bradford in Shreveport on July 23, 2008. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hall Summit.
She was preceded in death by her parents;sister, Lunnie Bates Conly; husband, Fred Wiggins and son, Lamar Wiggins. Left to cherish her memory are son, Bobby Wiggins and wife, Lorraine; sister, Lois McKinssey, brother Lory D Bates and numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
