BRANNAN, Mrs. Annie, age 88, of Lake City, Route 1, passed away early Sunday morning at the home of her niece, Mrs. Helen Swicegood. She was the widow of the late Will. H. Brannan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors: one brother, Dr. W. D. Richards of Knoxville. Funeral Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Cox Chapel, Rev. W. H. Martin, Rev. W. H. Beels officiating. Interment in Cinch River Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cox Funeral Home in Lake City. (Knoxville Journal, June 29, 1964, p. 14)
